Company looks to ease landfill fears

Property values near proposed Carp facility will likely go up, director says

Property values will likely increase near a proposed new landfill and recycling facility beside the Carp Road landfill site, according to a representative of the company hoping to build the plant.

Still, Waste Management is looking into ways to protect property owners if land values do take a dive, said Wayne French, the company's director of public affairs.
