Few are blameless in dump fiasco

It’s easy to understand why residents living around the Carp dump don’t want to see it capped, and replaced by yet another — albeit — shorter landfill.

Surely no one wants to live anywhere near a dump, with talk of garbage blowing errantly and nasty smells soiling the neighbourhood.

The news of the expansion came Tuesday morning from Waste Management, which is calling the new facility a West Carleton Environmental Centre.
